CVE Catalog

CVE-2025-30047

CriticalCVSS 9.4
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

CGM CLININET is vulnerable to remote code execution caused by deserialization of untrusted data. The server exposes an HTTP-based API used by the administrative module that exchanges data using Java object serialization; an attacker on the same local network can send a crafted serialized object whose deserialization allows arbitrary code execution with root privileges.

Risk Assessment

An attacker on the local network can achieve code execution as root on the medical application server, risking full compromise and exposure of patient data. The issue was fixed in version 2026.MS3.

Recommendation

Update CGM CLININET to version 2026.MS3 or later and restrict access to the administrative API to trusted hosts on the local network only.

CGM CLININET is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution caused by deserialization of untrusted data. The server exposes an HTTP-based API, used by the administrative module, that exchanges data using Java object serialization. An attacker within the same local network is able to send requests to this API and transmit a crafted serialized object. When it is deserialized, it allows arbitrary code execution with root privileges on the server.  This issue was fixed in version 2026.MS3
