CVE-2026-116206

MediumCVSS 6.4
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

YesWiki from 4.2.0 before 4.7.0 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability that allows authenticated users to inject script into comment bodies using the wakka raw-HTML syntax. Attackers can post comments via the /api/comments endpoint that render unescaped through the Twig raw filter, executing JavaScript in administrators' and visitors' sessions.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated attacker can remotely execute arbitrary JavaScript in administrators' and other users' browsers, potentially leading to session theft, account takeover, or content modification. This can compromise the security of the entire YesWiki installation.

Recommendation

Update YesWiki to version 4.7.0 or later. Additionally, consider implementing a Content Security Policy and monitoring for unusual comments.
