Weekly CVE digest
One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.
This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.
A vulnerability was identified in getkirby Kirby up to 4.9.5/5.5.3. Affected by this issue is the function OptionsQuery::resolve of the file src/Option/OptionsQuery.php of the component Dynamic Option Generation. The manipulation leads to authorization bypass. The attack is possible to be carried out remotely. Upgrading to version 4.9.6 and 5.6.0 can resolve this issue. You should upgrade the affected component.
A vulnerability was determined in 1024-lab smart-admin up to 3.30.0. Affected by this vulnerability is an unknown functionality of the file /support/config/queryByKey of the component Support Config Query. Executing a manipulation of the argument configKey can lead to improper access controls. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been publicly disclosed and may be utilized. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
In Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients prior to 0.11.0, TEE attestation evidence is accepted without requiring an explicitly authorized platform identity. A network attacker can forge evidence or extract attestation secrets from a compromised unrevoked platform, causing the verifier to accept valid measurements from a different unrevoked TEE platform as though they came from the intended Attester. This allows impersonation of the attested TLS endpoint.
Privasys Remote Attestation TLS Clients before 0.9.1 performs attestation only once, at connection establishment time. An attacker with local access can modify workload code, data, and configuration at any time after the connection is established, while the verifying peer continues to trust the initial Evidence.
OWASP Coraza WAF is a golang modsecurity compatible web application firewall library. From 3.0.0 until 3.8.0, the t:jsDecode transformation in internal/transformations/js_decode.go:64-70 includes the backslash in the octal buffer, causing ParseInt to fail and return a null byte. The flaw is triggered when a rule relies on t:jsDecode and the request contains JavaScript octal escape sequences. An unauthenticated attacker can encode attack syntax with JavaScript octal escapes so the backend decodes the intended bytes while Coraza rules using t:jsDecode inspect corrupted null-byte output. The mismatch can bypass WAF rules and expose the protected application to attacks such as cross-site scripting or SQL injection. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.0.
IBM Db2 11.5.0 through 11.5.9, and 12.1.0 through 12.1.5 could allow a local attacker to cause a denial of service due to improper input validation.
IBM Db2 versions 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.5 are vulnerable to a denial of service when executing a specially crafted query with a Materialized Query Table.
IBM DB2 Recovery Expert for Linux, UNIX and Windows 5.5 IF 2 uses a web link with untrusted references to an external site. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to expose sensitive information or perform unauthorized actions on the victims' web browser.
IBM Db2 Recovery Expert for Linux, UNIX and Windows 5.5 IF 2 is vulnerable to cross-site scripting. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated attacker to embed arbitrary JavaScript code in the Web UI thus altering the intended functionality potentially leading to credentials disclosure within a trusted session.

Temporal Server does not bind internal completion callbacks to the namespace that attached them, which allows an authenticated caller with write permission in one namespace to alter Scheduler V2 schedule state in another namespace. The callback address temporal://internal is reserved for callbacks that Scheduler V2 attaches to the Workflows it starts. In affected releases, any authenticated caller could attach a callback with that address to a Workflow start request, the address was exempt from the component.callbacks.allowedAddresses allowlist, and the History service delivered the callback to the component its token named, in whatever namespace that was, without authorizing the original caller there. When the forged completion matches an action a target schedule is running, the schedule records the action as completed while its Workflow still runs, which can defeat an overlap policy such as SKIP, and passes caller-controlled data to the next scheduled Workflow as its last completion result. A forged failure may also pause a schedule configured to pause on failure. A forgery requires the target namespace identifier, the schedule identifier, and the identity and timing of a running action. No disclosure of Workflow payloads or history was identified. Only namespaces that hold Scheduler V2 schedules can be targeted; Scheduler V2 is off by default, and existing Scheduler V2 schedules remain targets after the settings that create them are turned off.
A flaw was found in Quarkus REST Data Panache that allows unauthenticated attackers to bypass security controls on generated endpoints. When a developer customizes a specific operation using @MethodProperties without explicitly re-declaring security roles, the code generator silently drops class-level security requirements. As a result, the affected endpoint defaults to permissive, unauthenticated access.
A flaw was found in Quay. An authenticated repository administrator could bypass the hostname blacklist in webhook notifications, leading to a Server-Side Request Forgery (SSRF) vulnerability. This allows the Quay application to be tricked into sending requests to internal network resources, such as cloud metadata services or other services within the cluster. Consequently, this could lead to the disclosure of sensitive information from these internal services.
A flaw was found in openstack-network-exporter. The HTTP server within the component is configured without essential timeout settings, such as ReadHeaderTimeout. This vulnerability allows an unauthenticated, remote attacker to initiate multiple slow HTTP header connections. By trickling header bytes, the attacker can exhaust server resources, specifically file descriptors, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS) that prevents legitimate Prometheus metric scraping and alerting.
A fail-open flaw was found in openstack-network-exporter: when user authentication is configured but TLS is omitted or misconfigured, basic authentication is silently bypassed. An adjacent network attacker can then access OVS and OVN dataplane metrics without credentials.
IBM Db2 versions 11.5.0 through 11.5.9 and 12.1.0 through 12.1.5 are vulnerable to a local privilege escalation via the db2pd utility.
In PHPCSUtils from 1.0.0-alpha1 until 1.2.3, AbstractArrayDeclarationSniff::getActualArrayKey() evaluates attacker-controlled array-key expressions with eval(). This allows callback-form keys in untrusted PHP code scanned by an extending sniff to execute arbitrary commands on the scanning host.
In ConvertX before 0.18.0, the /delete/{id} endpoint uses HTTP GET for permanent deletion without CSRF protection. If an authenticated user visits attacker-controlled content, the browser sends the session cookie and deletes the targeted job.
