CVE-2026-92386

Low
Published: —Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

When writing a long cookie name and value to a Netscape cookie jar, a remote HTTP server can make curl write a record that exceeds its line-length parsing limit. Consequently, any subsequent curl invocation reading from that same cookie jar using --cookie will silently abort parsing prematurely.

Risk Assessment

Cookies may be silently skipped, leading to unexpected authentication behavior and potential failures in applications relying on curl.

Recommendation

Update curl to a fixed version or avoid using cookie jars with records exceeding line-length limits.
