26th percentile - higher than 26% of all known CVEs

Summary

Prior to 3.8.6, WeGIA's auto-prepended web/html/seguranca/sessionStart.php reflects an attacker-supplied PHPSESSID cookie in a Set-Cookie response and uses DB_HOST as the cookie domain. If a victim authenticates while using the attacker-selected identifier, the attacker can reuse that identifier to hijack the authenticated session. The response also discloses the internal database host name through the cookie Domain attribute.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could hijack a victim's authenticated session, leading to unauthorized access to the application. Disclosure of the internal database host name facilitates further attacks.

Recommendation

Update WeGIA to version 3.8.6 or later. Avoid using DB_HOST as the cookie domain and do not reflect user-supplied cookie values.

Original NVD description (English source)

WeGIA is a web manager for charitable institutions. Prior to 3.8.6, the auto-prepended web/html/seguranca/sessionStart.php reflects an attacker-supplied PHPSESSID cookie in a Set-Cookie response and uses DB_HOST as the cookie domain. If a victim authenticates while using the attacker-selected identifier, the attacker can reuse that identifier to hijack the authenticated session. The response also discloses the internal database host name through the cookie Domain attribute, and the vulnerable session handler affects all PHP pages. This issue is fixed in version 3.8.6.
