Summary

The All in One SEO plugin for WordPress up to version 4.9.7 exposes sensitive internal option data via 'internalOptions' localized script data passed to wp_localize_script() in post editor contexts. Lack of effective masking for low-privilege users allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access or higher to view configured API/OAuth tokens and license-related values from the page source.

Risk Assessment

The organization risks exposure of confidential API tokens and license keys, potentially leading to unauthorized access to external services or license violations.

Recommendation

Update the All in One SEO plugin to the latest available version that includes a fix masking sensitive data.

Original NVD description (English source)

The All in One SEO plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Sensitive Information Exposure via 'internalOptions' localized script data in versions up to, and including, 4.9.7 due to sensitive internal option data being passed to wp_localize_script() in post editor contexts without effective masking for low-privilege users. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with contributor-level access and above, to view configured API/OAuth tokens and license-related values from page source.
