CVE-2026-41879
HighCVSS 8.2Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk19th percentile - higher than 19% of all known CVEs
Summary
The vulnerability in R-SOFT DMS stores superadmin credentials using a non-salted nested MD5 hash. This allows an attacker who obtains the password hash to decode superadmin credentials. Critically, this password cannot be changed except by modifying the configuration file.
Risk Assessment
The risk is that an attacker who gains access to the superadmin password hash can take full control of the system. The inability to change the password without modifying the configuration file complicates incident response.
Recommendation
Immediately update R-SOFT DMS to version v3.17-2000 or later, which contains the fix for this vulnerability. After updating, change the superadmin password by modifying the configuration file.
Other vulnerabilities in R-SOFT DMS
See all- CVE-2026-41880Critical
R-SOFT DMS is vulnerable to OS Command Injection in the OCR module. Command execution functions accept user-controllable file paths without proper sanitization before passing them to the system shell via SSH. In standard web upload flow URL encoding neutralizes the injection, but an authenticated attacker who can trigger OCR for the uploaded file can execute commands as root.
- CVE-2026-41878High
An IDOR vulnerability in R-SOFT DMS allows unauthorized file access by manipulating IDs in download requests. The system does not verify user permissions for specific files, relying solely on session authentication.
- CVE-2026-41877Medium
Stored XSS vulnerability in the file upload functionality of R-SOFT DMS. An authenticated attacker can inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript into the uploaded file name, which executes when other users view the file list or upload status.
- CVE-2026-41876High
OS Command Injection vulnerability in the konwertujAction() function of R-SOFT DMS allows an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary system commands with the privileges of the web server user. The issue is fixed in versions v3.19-2752 and v3.17-2580.
