Summary

Fortinet FortiSOAR (PaaS and on-premise) versions 7.6.0–7.6.3, 7.5.0–7.5.2, 7.4 all versions, and 7.3 all versions contain an improper neutralization of input during web page generation (cross-site scripting) vulnerability. An authenticated remote attacker may perform a stored XSS attack via crafted HTTP requests.

Risk Assessment

Stored XSS may allow an attacker to execute arbitrary JavaScript in the browser of other FortiSOAR users, risking session hijacking and data theft. It requires authentication but can lead to privilege escalation.

Recommendation

Update FortiSOAR to a version containing the fix (contact Fortinet for the latest version). Additionally, implement a Content Security Policy and monitor for unusual HTTP requests.
