Summary

The UsersWP – Front-end login form, User Registration, User Profile & Members Directory plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via Badge Widget Variable Substitution in all versions up to and including 1.2.69 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could steal user session data, take over accounts, or spread malicious content on the site.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to the latest version and implement proper sanitization and escaping mechanisms.
