Summary

The WP Maps – Google Maps,OpenStreetMap,Mapbox,Store Locator,Listing,Directory & Filters plugin for WordPress (versions up to and including 4.9.8) is vulnerable to local file inclusion via the 'page' parameter. An authenticated attacker with subscriber-level access or higher can include and execute arbitrary .php files on the server, allowing the execution of any PHP code in those files. This can be used to bypass access controls, obtain sensitive data, or achieve code execution in cases where .php file types can be uploaded and included.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can execute arbitrary PHP code, leading to server compromise and data breach. This requires a subscriber-level account, which may be easy to obtain.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to a version newer than 4.9.8 if available. Otherwise, restrict the ability to upload PHP files and monitor for suspicious requests.
