CVE-2026-114820

CriticalCVSS 9.1
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Vulnerability in the JSSE component of Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition. It is easily exploitable by an unauthenticated attacker with network access, leading to unauthorized creation, deletion, or modification of critical data as well as unauthorized access to critical data. The vulnerability also applies to Java deployments that load and run untrusted code in a sandbox (e.g., Java Web Start applications or applets).

Risk Assessment

High risk (CVSS 9.1) — an attacker can compromise confidentiality and integrity of data accessible to Java applications. Systems exposing network services based on JSSE and clients running untrusted Java code are particularly exposed.

Recommendation

Update Oracle Java SE, Oracle GraalVM for JDK, and Oracle GraalVM Enterprise Edition to versions containing the security fix. Restrict execution of untrusted Java code in the sandbox and verify sources of Java Web Start applications and applets.
