CVE-2026-119706

CriticalCVSS 9.8
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

InternLM LMDeploy 0.9.0 through 0.18.0 contains an unauthenticated remote code execution vulnerability. Attackers can send a base64-encoded crafted pickle in serialized_named_tensors to the /update_weights endpoint, which ForkingPickler.loads deserializes without validation, executing commands as the api_server process.

Risk Assessment

Lack of authentication means anyone with network access to the endpoint can take over the server and run arbitrary OS commands. This can lead to full host compromise and data theft.

Recommendation

Update LMDeploy to a version later than 0.18.0 or apply mitigations (e.g., restrict access to /update_weights, validate input). Do not deserialize untrusted pickle data.
