CVE-2026-119660

CriticalCVSS 9.8
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

MuseBot before 2.0.0 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability that allows unauthenticated attackers to forge admin sessions using the hard-coded default session_key 'muse_bot_session_key'. Attackers can sign a session cookie carrying a user_id to gain full administrative access.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can read password hashes, chat records and bot configuration, and stop bots. This leads to full system takeover and data confidentiality loss.

Recommendation

Update MuseBot to version 2.0.0 or later and replace the default session key with a unique, strong value. Invalidate existing sessions after changing the key.
