Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.31%

24th percentile - higher than 24% of all known CVEs

Summary

xianyu-auto-reply-fix through 2.0.7 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the POST /send-message endpoint that allows unauthenticated attackers to send messages from other users' accounts using publicly known default API secrets. Attackers can supply the hard-coded api_key and another user's cookie_id, plus chosen chat_id, to_user_id and message values, to send arbitrary Xianyu messages to buyers from that merchant account.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker can send messages on behalf of other merchants, potentially leading to fraud, phishing, or reputational damage. Publicly known default API secrets significantly lower the exploitation barrier.

Recommendation

Update xianyu-auto-reply-fix to a version later than 2.0.7 if available, or enforce authorization checks on the /send-message endpoint. Rotate default API secrets and avoid relying on publicly known values.
