CVE-2026-118680

MediumCVSS 4.4
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.46%

40th percentile - higher than 40% of all known CVEs

Summary

SiYuan 3.8.7 through 3.8.8 fails to normalize Windows GLOBALROOT device-namespace aliases, bypassing the IsSensitivePath denylist. Attackers can invoke importStdMd with a GLOBALROOT-prefixed path to copy the API token and TLS private key into the publicly served assets directory.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could obtain the API token and TLS private key, leading to application takeover and breach of communication confidentiality. This could result in further attacks on the infrastructure.

Recommendation

Upgrade SiYuan to a version later than 3.8.8. Immediately revoke and regenerate the API token and TLS key if exploitation is suspected.
