SiYuan vulnerabilities
102 known CVE vulnerabilities in SiYuan, translated and rated.
- CVE-2026-45371High
SiYuan is a knowledge management system that prior to version 3.7.0 had security vulnerabilities related to 8 ungated APIs that could modify configuration and SQL index. Users with a valid JWT token could access these APIs, leading to unauthorized changes to server state.
- CVE-2026-41894High
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to 3.6.5, the fix for CVE-2026-30869 only added a denylist check but did not address the root cause – a redundant url.PathUnescape() call in serveExport(). An authenticated attacker can use double URL encoding to traverse directories and read arbitrary workspace files including the full SQLite database, kernel log, and all user documents.
- CVE-2026-77086Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.4 fails to validate the packageName parameter in Bazaar install and uninstall endpoints, allowing authenticated administrators to perform path traversal. Attackers with admin access can write arbitrary files or recursively delete directories by supplying crafted packageName values.
- CVE-2026-74800Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.4 fails to set Content-Disposition and X-Content-Type-Options headers when serving arbitrary file assets, allowing stored cross-site scripting attacks. Authenticated attackers can upload HTML files as assets and execute scripts with full kernel API access when the workspace owner opens the asset link.
- CVE-2026-74799Critical
SiYuan before 3.7.4 registers Go net/http/pprof debug endpoints including heap and goroutine dumps without authentication when --mode flag is not set to exactly prod. Attackers can access /debug/pprof/heap and related endpoints to extract in-memory secrets including AccessAuthCode and AI provider API keys.
- CVE-2026-73056Critical
SiYuan kernel versions before 3.7.4 contain an improper restriction of excessive authentication attempts vulnerability in the CheckAuth() middleware. The middleware accepts the API token via an Authorization header or ?token= query parameter, and neither path is protected by CAPTCHA/lockout. An unauthenticated remote attacker can perform unlimited automated guesses of the API token, especially when a short or weak custom token is configured, and upon success gains full RoleAdministrator access enabling arbitrary file operations and SQL queries.
- CVE-2026-73053Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 contain a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the unicode2Emoji function that fails to sanitize codepoint branch output. Attackers can craft document icons with hex-encoded markup that executes in the renderer with Node integration enabled, achieving arbitrary code execution on the host system.
- CVE-2026-73052Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.4 stores attribute-view field names without HTML escaping and interpolates them directly into option elements via innerHTML in the sort menu. Attackers can inject markup by renaming a database field to execute arbitrary JavaScript when users open the sort menu, with Node integration enabled in the desktop client enabling code execution.
- CVE-2026-73050Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 fail to validate or escape the color field in attribute-view select options, allowing stored cross-site scripting through eight unescaped render sites. Attackers can inject event-handler attributes by including quotation marks in the color value, executing arbitrary JavaScript when viewing databases containing the malicious select field.
- CVE-2026-73046Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.4 improperly restricts excessive authentication attempts in the CheckAuth() middleware. The HTTP Basic Authentication branch, which guards nearly the entire /api/* surface, accepts the workspace access code as the Basic Auth password but never consults the CAPTCHA/lockout gate or increments the failure counter used by the cookie/session login path. This allows unauthenticated remote attackers to brute-force the admin access code with unlimited automated requests and obtain full RoleAdministrator access to the kernel. A secondary weakness exists because the access code is compared using a non-constant-time string comparison.
- CVE-2026-73044Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 fail to validate or escape table column width values, allowing stored cross-site scripting injection into style attributes. Attackers can inject malicious payloads through the setAttrViewColWidth API that break out of style attributes and inject event handlers on every table cell, executing arbitrary code in the Electron renderer with Node integration enabled.
- CVE-2026-73043Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 contain a remote code execution vulnerability in the Template calculation operator, which renders user-authored Go templates and stores output verbatim without sanitization. Attackers can inject malicious HTML and JavaScript into template calculations that execute in the desktop client renderer with Node integration enabled, allowing arbitrary code execution when the database is opened.
- CVE-2026-73042Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.4 fails to properly escape database menu metadata in HTML interpolation, allowing stored values to execute script when users open group, view, or field-edit menus. Attackers can inject markup through field descriptions or names that close containing elements and execute arbitrary code via event handlers, reaching Node built-ins due to Electron's insecure configuration.
- CVE-2026-73041Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 fail to validate or escape annotation fields written to disk by the setFileAnnotation endpoint. Attackers can inject malicious markup into annotation fields that execute as script in the PDF renderer with full Node.js access when a user opens an annotated PDF.
- CVE-2026-72811Critical
SiYuan versions <= v3.7.2 contain a SQL injection vulnerability in the backlink/mention search query (kernel/model/backlink.go), which concatenates stored block metadata (title, name, alias, anchor text) and the client-supplied keyword into a SQL MATCH/search statement while escaping only the double-quote character and not the single quote. A single quote in the client keyword (first-order, reachable by an anonymous or RoleReader user on the publish surface) or in stored document metadata (second-order) breaks out of the string literal. Because the query runs on the main read-write siyuan.db handle via a statement-stacking-capable driver, an attacker can execute arbitrary SQL, enabling cross-notebook read and write. Fixed in v3.7.4.
- CVE-2026-69085Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.3 contains a SQL injection vulnerability in the /api/filetree/searchDocs endpoint, where the caller-supplied keyword parameter is concatenated directly into SQL statements with no escaping or parameter binding. The endpoint is reachable by a publish RoleReader token, or unauthenticated when publish mode is enabled with Publish.Auth.Enable set to false. Because the statement executes on a read-write SQLite handle via a driver that supports stacked (semicolon-separated) statements, an attacker can read and modify database content across all cleartext (non-encrypted) notebooks on the instance.
- CVE-2026-69084Critical
SiYuan versions <= v3.7.2 expose the /api/search/searchEmbedBlock endpoint, which passes a client-supplied SQL statement verbatim to the main read-write siyuan.db handle with no single-statement, read-only, or admin restrictions. The endpoint is gated only by CheckAuth, making it reachable by the publish RoleReader token and by anonymous users when publish authentication is disabled. Because the underlying driver executes stacked statements, an attacker can read and modify content across all opened cleartext notebooks (encrypted per-box notebooks are excluded). Fixed in v3.7.3.
- CVE-2026-69083Critical
SiYuan versions before v3.7.3 contain SQL injection vulnerabilities in the fullTextSearchAssetContent endpoint reachable by unauthenticated users and publish RoleReader tokens. Attackers can execute arbitrary SQL on the read-write asset-content database via unescaped method parameters and REGEXP clauses to read, modify, or delete cross-notebook data.
- CVE-2026-66395Critical
SiYuan desktop before version 3.7.2 contains a reflected cross-site scripting vulnerability in the bazaar plugin readme handler. An attacker can craft a malicious siyuan:// deep link that, when clicked, executes arbitrary JavaScript with full Node.js access via insertAdjacentHTML in an insecurely configured Electron renderer.
- CVE-2026-66012Critical
SiYuan before v3.7.2 contains a missing authorization vulnerability in the POST /mcp kernel endpoint, gated only by a general auth check with no admin-role or read-only enforcement, exposing 31 MCP tools including file operations across the entire workspace.
- CVE-2026-65606Critical
SiYuan before version v3.7.2 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the siyuan:// protocol handler. When a siyuan://plugins/<name> link references a non-existent plugin, the application opens a custom tab and inserts the link's icon parameter into the tab header via innerHTML without escaping, allowing injection of an <img onerror=...> element. Because the SiYuan Desktop renderer runs with nodeIntegration:true, the injected JavaScript can access Node's require and call require('child_process').execSync(...), escalating XSS to arbitrary OS command execution.
- CVE-2026-65605Critical
SiYuan before version v3.7.2 contains a stored cross-site scripting vulnerability in Attribute View (database) cell rendering. A Template column value is rendered as HTML via text/template without auto-escaping, and EscapeHTML is only applied when HasUnclosedHtmlTag returns true; because balanced self-closing tags such as <img> are skipped by that check, a payload like <img src=x onerror=...> is stored unescaped and later inserted into the page via innerHTML, executing when the database is viewed. Because the desktop renderer runs with nodeIntegration enabled, the injected script can reach require and escalate to arbitrary command execution.
- CVE-2026-55570Critical
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system that prior to version 3.7.0 did not escape untrusted fields (name, version, author, description) when serialized into the data-obj HTML attribute of each marketplace card. As a result, a package containing a single quote could inject arbitrary HTML, escalating from DOM XSS to arbitrary OS command execution.
- CVE-2026-54067Critical
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. Prior to version 3.7.0, a CSS snippet body containing </style> breaks out of its surrounding <style> tag, allowing arbitrary JavaScript execution in the renderer. On Electron desktop builds, the renderer runs with nodeIntegration:true, enabling access to require('child_process') from the injected handler, leading to remote code execution (RCE).
- CVE-2026-56395Critical
SiYuan before v3.6.1 fails to sanitize package metadata and README content in the Bazaar marketplace, allowing malicious package authors to inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript. Attackers can achieve remote code execution on any user browsing the Bazaar by embedding XSS payloads in package displayName, description, or README fields.
- CVE-2026-44670Critical
SiYuan is an open-source personal knowledge management system. In versions prior to 3.7.0, attribute view names are stored without HTML escape, leading to potential HTML injection and Node.js code execution in the renderer.
- CVE-2026-44588Critical
SiYuan is a knowledge management system that prior to version 3.7.0 had an issue with handling the aria-label attribute. Due to improper URL decoding, it was possible to inject malicious HTML code, leading to unauthorized script execution.
- CVE-2026-39846Critical
SiYuan prior to 3.6.4 contains a stored XSS vulnerability that allows remote code execution in the Electron desktop client. An attacker can import a crafted note into a synced workspace, and when the victim opens it, attacker-controlled JavaScript executes with access to Node.js APIs.
- CVE-2026-34449Critical
SiYuan, a personal knowledge management system, prior to version 3.6.2 allows a malicious website to achieve Remote Code Execution (RCE) on any desktop running SiYuan. This is due to an overly permissive CORS policy (Access-Control-Allow-Origin: * + Access-Control-Allow-Private-Network: true) that enables injecting JavaScript via the API. The injected code executes in Electron's Node.js context with full OS access the next time the user opens SiYuan's UI. No user interaction is required beyond visiting the malicious website while SiYuan is running.
- CVE-2026-34448Critical
SiYuan prior to version 3.6.2 allows stored XSS via a malicious URL in the Asset View field. In the Electron client, the XSS escalates to arbitrary OS command execution due to enabled nodeIntegration and disabled contextIsolation.
- CVE-2026-23852Critical
SiYuan is a personal knowledge management system. Versions prior to 3.5.4 have a stored Cross-Site Scripting (XSS) vulnerability that allows an attacker to inject arbitrary HTML attributes into the `icon` attribute of a block via the `/api/attr/setBlockAttrs` API. The payload is later rendered in the dynamic icon feature in an unsanitized context, leading to stored XSS and, in the desktop environment, potential remote code execution (RCE). This issue bypasses the previous fix for issue `#15970` (XSS → RCE via dynamic icons). Version 3.5.4 contains an updated fix.
- CVE-2026-82234High
SiYuan versions before v3.8.1 contain a server-side request forgery vulnerability in the http_request and web_fetch agent tools that perform DNS resolution only at guard time without validating the connect-time resolution. Attackers can use DNS rebinding to answer the guard resolution with a public IP and the connect resolution with a private or metadata IP, bypassing the SSRF defense to access cloud instance metadata and internal services.
- CVE-2026-82233Medium
SiYuan before v3.8.1 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the asset.upload MCP tool that accepts arbitrary absolute file paths without workspace boundary validation. Attackers can induce the AI Agent to upload sensitive files such as SSH keys or credentials from outside the workspace into the asset directory through prompt injection.
- CVE-2026-62204Medium
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 fail to validate that packageName matches the downloaded package content in bazaar install endpoints. Attackers with same-origin access can overwrite existing trusted plugins by supplying mismatched packageName and repoURL parameters, achieving persistence across application restarts.
- CVE-2026-60084High
SiYuan versions before v3.7.4 contain an arbitrary file deletion vulnerability in the /api/search/removeTemplate endpoint that accepts an unvalidated path parameter passed directly to os.RemoveAll. Authenticated admin attackers can supply absolute filesystem paths to recursively delete any file or directory the kernel process has permission to remove, anywhere on the host filesystem.
- CVE-2026-60083Medium
SiYuan versions before v3.8.0 contain an incomplete path blocklist in the MCP file tool that fails to restrict access to sensitive workspace files protected by the HTTP API. Authenticated administrators can read plaintext publish-mode passwords from data/.siyuan/publishAccess.json and access other sensitive files like data/templates and data/snippets/conf.json.
- CVE-2026-59809Medium
SiYuan before v3.8.0 interpolates secret placeholders into the destination URL parameter of the http_request MCP tool, allowing attackers to exfiltrate stored secrets. An MCP client can craft a request with an attacker-controlled URL containing secret placeholders to send plaintext secret values to any public host without confirmation.
- CVE-2026-75917High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the file-tree picker's hover-tooltip generation (app/src/util/pathName.ts, getLeaf()/movePathTo()) used by the 'move/link to' path-selection dialogs, where document metadata fields (bookmark, alias, memo, and an alternate name field) are concatenated into the aria-label HTML attribute without escaping. A document crafted with a double quote in any of these fields breaks out of the attribute context and injects arbitrary HTML attributes including inline event handlers (e.g., onmouseover). Because every SiYuan Electron BrowserWindow runs with nodeIntegration:true, contextIsolation:false, and no CSP, the injected handler gains require('child_process') access, escalating the XSS to arbitrary OS command execution when a victim merely hovers over the malicious document entry in the path-picker dialog. Malicious documents reach victims via sharing, sync, or import.
- CVE-2026-75916High
SiYuan through 3.7.3 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the '((' block-reference autocomplete hint popup. In genHintItemHTML() (app/src/protyle/hint/extend.ts), a candidate block's name, alias, and memo fields are concatenated into the popup's HTML without escaping. An attacker who can set these metadata fields on a block can inject a self-firing payload (e.g. <img src=x onerror=...>) that executes automatically when a victim types '((' followed by a search term that surfaces the crafted block. Because SiYuan's Electron windows run with nodeIntegration enabled, contextIsolation disabled, and no CSP, the injected script gains require('child_process') access, allowing the XSS to escalate to arbitrary OS command execution.
- CVE-2026-74906High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains an incorrect authorization vulnerability in eight publish-mode reader-facing endpoints that filter results using the visibility list instead of the disabled list. Anonymous visitors can discover and read content from documents explicitly marked as forbidden from publishing by accessing search, backlink, asset content, saved criteria, recent documents, graph, and tag endpoints.
- CVE-2026-74905High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a server-side request forgery (SSRF) vulnerability in the isPrivateIP function in kernel/util/net.go, used by SSRFSafeDialer to enforce SSRF protection in SafeMode. The function only checks for loopback, link-local unicast, private, and unspecified addresses and does not recognize IPv6 transition addresses (NAT64 64:ff9b::/96, 6to4 2002::/16, Teredo 2001::/32) that embed private IPv4 destinations. When SafeMode is enabled, an authenticated attacker can bypass the SSRF guard via the network forward proxy, WebSocket proxy, or SSE proxy endpoints by supplying a URL whose hostname resolves to such a transition address, reaching internal services and cloud metadata endpoints (e.g., 169.254.169.254). Because the forward proxy returns the full response body, this is a full-read SSRF that can be used to steal instance credentials, reach internal services, and port-scan internal infrastructure.
- CVE-2026-74904High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 is missing authorization checks in 17 block metadata/content endpoints in kernel/api/block.go (including getRefText, checkBlockExist, and getBlockBreadcrumb). These handlers are gated only by basic authentication (model.CheckAuth) and lack publish-access filtering, allowing anonymous publish-mode readers to disclose private block content-derived text, structural metadata, and existence information for arbitrary block IDs across the workspace.
- CVE-2026-74903Medium
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains an insufficient access control vulnerability in the /api/lute/spinBlockDOM endpoint, which is guarded only by CheckAuth middleware instead of CheckAdminRole like its sibling endpoint. Authenticated users with RoleEditor or RoleReader roles can invoke the endpoint to transform arbitrary DOM input, and large payloads cause endpoint starvation through per-path mutex serialization.
- CVE-2026-74902High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains a cross-site scripting vulnerability in the file upload validation flow that fails to escape filenames before inserting them into HTML via insertAdjacentHTML. Attackers can craft a malicious filename containing script payloads that execute with full OS command access when a user drags, drops, or pastes the file into the editor.
- CVE-2026-74868High
SiYuan versions before 3.7.4 contain an unthrottled brute-force vulnerability in the Publish Service Basic Auth implementation (PublishServiceTransport.RoundTrip() in kernel/server/proxy/publish.go). The Publish Service runs on a separate, unauthenticated-by-default listener (default TCP port 6808) and gates named publish-viewer accounts (Conf.Publish.Auth.Accounts) with Basic Auth that has no rate limiting, per-account lockout, or backoff. Unauthenticated remote attackers can submit unlimited password guesses against named accounts to gain access to published notes/notebooks.
- CVE-2026-74867Medium
SiYuan versions before 3.7.4 contain a cross-site request forgery vulnerability in the session-cookie authentication branch of CheckAuth() that lacks Origin/Referer validation and sets no explicit SameSite attribute on session cookies. Attackers can craft malicious web pages that perform unauthorized actions on behalf of authenticated users by submitting requests with valid session cookies, relying on browser default SameSite policies rather than server-enforced protections.
- CVE-2026-74802High
SiYuan versions before 3.7.4 contain a cross-site WebSocket hijacking vulnerability in the admin-only /ws/network/proxy endpoint that explicitly disables origin validation by setting CheckOrigin to unconditionally return true. Attackers can craft malicious webpages that establish WebSocket connections to this endpoint and direct the SiYuan kernel process to proxy arbitrary network traffic to attacker-chosen targets, enabling authenticated network pivoting through the victim's machine.
- CVE-2026-74801High
SiYuan before 3.7.4 fails to properly escape workspace directory paths when constructing command-line arguments for the elevated elevator.exe helper process. Attackers can create a malicious workspace directory with command metacharacters in its path and trigger the Microsoft Defender exclusion flow to execute arbitrary commands with administrator privileges after UAC approval.
- CVE-2026-74798High
SiYuan kernel before v3.7.4 contains a path traversal vulnerability in the database_clean MCP tool. The tool only checks if the id parameter is not empty before passing it to RemoveUnusedAttributeView, which builds a filesystem path without validating the ID format. An authenticated MCP client can use path traversal sequences to copy an arbitrary readable file into SiYuan's history directory (arbitrary file read) and then delete the original file (arbitrary file deletion).
- CVE-2026-73054High
SiYuan before v3.7.4 contains an authentication bypass vulnerability in the WebSocket endpoint caused by differential parsing of query parameters between authentication exemption and session quarantine checks. Unauthenticated attackers can craft a malicious WebSocket URI with duplicated query parameters to bypass access auth code validation and receive the live kernel event stream including document identifiers, titles, and operation logs.
