CVE-2026-117082

Unknown
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

An authentication bypass vulnerability in the Universal Plug and Play (UPnP) framework of the Sercomm AOT-4221SR 4.6 Dual Band GPON ONU device allows an attacker to execute arbitrary SOAP requests via port 5555. This flaw exposes 15 administrative, WAN, LAN, and firewall services without requiring credentials, enabling attackers to modify core routing tables, alter DNS servers, remove firewall rules, and completely compromise the network.

Risk Assessment

An unauthenticated attacker could take control of the network device and change critical network settings, leading to full infrastructure compromise. This may result in traffic redirection, disabled security controls, and data confidentiality loss.

Recommendation

Immediately restrict access to port 5555 and the UPnP interface from external networks and apply the vendor patch if available. Consider disabling UPnP on the device until the update is deployed.
