MediumCVSS 4.3
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

EspoCRM 4.0.0 before 10.0.7 contains an improper access control vulnerability that allows authenticated users to read restricted emailAddress values via the address-book search API. Users with record access can query address-book search to obtain email addresses even when Roles restrict the emailAddress field.

Risk Assessment

Users can obtain email addresses that should be hidden, leading to a breach of contact data confidentiality. This may be exploited for spam, phishing, or other social engineering attacks.

Recommendation

Update EspoCRM to version 10.0.7 or later. Verify that address-book search respects role restrictions on the emailAddress field.
