Summary

The WooCommerce Extra Product Options Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the '<fieldname>_start / <fieldname>_end' parameter in all versions up to and including 3.3.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. Unauthenticated attackers can inject arbitrary web scripts that execute if they can trick a user into performing an action such as clicking a link. The vulnerability is only exploitable on product pages where a Date & Time Range Picker extra field is configured, though the required field name is visible in the product page source.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can execute arbitrary JavaScript in the victim's browser within the context of the site, potentially leading to session theft, account takeover, or content manipulation. Exploitation only requires tricking a user into clicking a crafted link, and the field name is visible in the product page source.

Recommendation

Update the WooCommerce Extra Product Options Pro plugin to a version later than 3.3.2 as soon as a fix is available. Until then, consider disabling the Date & Time Range Picker field on product pages or implementing additional URL parameter filtering.

Original NVD description (English source)

The WooCommerce Extra Product Options Pro plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Reflected Cross-Site Scripting via the '<fieldname>_start / <fieldname>_end' parameter in all versions up to, and including, 3.3.2 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that execute if they can successfully trick a user into performing an action such as clicking on a link. This vulnerability is only exploitable on product pages where a Date & Time Range Picker extra field is configured, though the required field name is visible in the product page source and requires no prior knowledge to discover.
