CVE-2025-62689
HighCVSS 7.5Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Low risk35th percentile - higher than 35% of all known CVEs
Summary
A NULL pointer dereference vulnerability exists in GNU libmicrohttpd v1.0.2 and earlier. The vulnerability was fixed in commit ff13abc on the master branch of the libmicrohttpd Git repository, after the v1.0.2 tag. A specially crafted packet sent by an attacker could cause a denial-of-service (DoS) condition.
Risk Assessment
The risk includes the possibility of causing denial of service to services using libmicrohttpd by sending a specially crafted packet. The attack can be performed remotely without authentication.
Recommendation
It is recommended to upgrade GNU libmicrohttpd to a version containing the fix (after commit ff13abc). Also, monitor network traffic for suspicious packets.

- CVE-2023-27371Medium
GNU libmicrohttpd before 0.9.76 allows remote DoS due to improper parsing of a multipart/form-data boundary in the MHD_create_post_processor() method in postprocessor.c. An attacker can remotely send a malicious HTTP POST packet including one or more '\0' bytes in a multipart/form-data boundary field, which, assuming a specific heap layout, results in an out-of-bounds read and a crash in the find_boundary() function.
