Summary

An incorrect validation of OCSP certificates vulnerability in TheGreenBow VPN versions 7.5 and 7.6. During the IKEv2 authentication step, the OCSP-enabled VPN client establishes the tunnel even if it does not receive an OCSP response or if the OCSP response signature is invalid.

Risk Assessment

An attacker could establish a VPN tunnel with an invalid or revoked certificate, undermining authentication trust and potentially enabling unauthorized network access. This may lead to breaches of communication confidentiality and integrity.

Recommendation

Update TheGreenBow VPN to a patched version or disable/verify OCSP configuration per vendor guidance. Monitor IKEv2 authentication logs for invalid sessions.
