Summary

The eRoom – Webinar & Meeting Plugin for WordPress up to version 1.5.6 exposes sensitive information, including Zoom SDK secret keys, in client-side JavaScript. This allows unauthenticated attackers to extract the sdk_secret value and generate valid JWT signatures for unauthorized meeting access.

Risk Assessment

Attackers could compromise the Zoom integration, generate valid JWT tokens, and gain unauthorized access to meetings, compromising confidentiality and integrity of communications.

Recommendation

Immediately update the eRoom plugin to a version newer than 1.5.6 and ensure SDK secret keys are not stored client-side.

This is due to the plugin exposing Zoom SDK secret keys in client-side JavaScript within the meeting view template.
