CVE-2023-35982
CriticalCVSS 9.8Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
Elevated risk73th percentile - higher than 73% of all known CVEs
Summary
There are buffer overflow vulnerabilities in multiple underlying services that could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution. By sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI UDP port (Aruba's access point management protocol), it is possible to gain access to the operating system as a privileged user.
Risk Assessment
Exploitation of these vulnerabilities could allow attackers to remotely execute arbitrary code, posing a serious threat to the security of the system and the organization's data.
Recommendation
It is recommended to immediately update the software to the latest version to patch these vulnerabilities and to monitor network traffic for potential attack attempts.

Multiple underlying services contain buffer overflow vulnerabilities that could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution by sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI UDP port (Aruba's access point management protocol). Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities allows arbitrary code execution as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.
- CVE-2023-35980Critical
There are buffer overflow vulnerabilities in multiple underlying services that could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution. By sending specially crafted packets to the PAPI UDP port (Aruba's access point management protocol), it is possible to gain access to the operating system with privileged user rights.
Original NVD description (English source)
There are buffer overflow vulnerabilities in multiple underlying services that could lead to unauthenticated remote code execution by sending specially crafted packets destined to the PAPI (Aruba's access point management protocol) UDP port (8211). Successful exploitation of these vulnerabilities result in the ability to execute arbitrary code as a privileged user on the underlying operating system.
