Weekly CVE digest

One email a week with newly published vulnerabilities worth knowing about. No account needed.

This digest covers new vulnerabilities in general, not your servers. If you want to know which of them actually run in your infrastructure, that is what Secvalis does: it scans your machines and reports only what concerns them.

I agree to receive the weekly CVE digest at the address above. I can withdraw this consent at any time using the link in the footer of every message.

CVE-2026-76265
Medium

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.3, 10.2.7, 10.0.10, and 9.4.15, and Splunk Secure Gateway versions below 3.10.11, 3.9.25, and 3.8.72, a user without the admin or power roles could access privileged Splunk Secure Gateway functionality. With this access, the user could cause Splunk Secure Gateway to sign attacker-controlled payloads. The vulnerability is due to multiple REST API endpoints not enforcing authorization requirements before processing requests.

CVE-2026-76264
Medium

In Splunk Enterprise versions below 10.4.2, 10.2.6, 10.0.10, and 9.4.15, a user without the admin or power roles could create or edit scripted lookup definitions through raw configuration endpoints. The vulnerability is due to raw transforms configuration write paths not applying external lookup capability checks before saving scripted lookup settings.

CVE-2026-1403
Medium

GitLab has remediated an issue in GitLab CE/EE affecting all versions from 11.7 before 18.8.9, 18.9 before 18.9.5, and 18.10 before 18.10.3 that when importing CSV files could have allowed an authenticated user to cause denial of service to Sidekiq workers due to improper validation of CSV file structure.

CVE-2026-107363
Medium

In OpenStack Zaqar before 23.0.1, the WebSocket transport fails to bind the project identifier in subsequent requests to the project authenticated by the Keystone token. An authenticated user with a valid token for one project may substitute another project's UUID to enumerate, inspect, create, or delete queues belonging to that project, resulting in unauthorized disclosure, modification, or loss of queue data. Only deployments using the WebSocket transport with Keystone authentication are affected.

CVE-2026-107352
High

Missing authorization checks in Amazon Athena engine version 3 request handling could have allowed an authenticated user to read limited query metadata (AWS account identifiers and SQL statement text) from other AWS accounts. Query results, credentials, and Amazon S3 data were not affected. AWS remediated the issue on September 1, 2026, and has confirmed no customer metadata was accessed. No customer action is required.

CVE-2026-107229
Medium

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library from 2.16.0 until 3.0.14 has incomplete validation of cookie Domain attributes in ThreadSafeCookieStore. Missing private-section and default public-suffix rules, absent A-label normalization, locale-sensitive lowercasing, public-suffix host-only handling, and numeric or IP host checks allow one origin to store a cookie later sent to another origin. Applications sharing one client across trust domains can therefore receive attacker-injected cookies and may be exposed to session fixation. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.14.

CVE-2026-107228
Medium

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library from 2.1.0 until 3.0.14 has an enabled-by-default cookie store that replaces a Cookie header explicitly supplied through setHeader or addHeader whenever the store contributes any cookie for the origin. In a shared client, stored cookies originating from one user can replace a different user's request cookie, causing the request to execute under the wrong session. This bypasses the earlier CVE-2024-53990 remediation, which covered cookies supplied through addCookie but not a directly supplied header. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.14.

CVE-2026-107227
High

The AsyncHttpClient (AHC) library versions 2.2.0 through 3.0.14 have unbounded WebSocket permessage-deflate decompression when compression is enabled. The inbound pipeline aggregates compressed frames before WebSocketClientCompressionHandler inflates them, so webSocketMaxFrameSize and webSocketMaxBufferSize do not bound decompressed output. A malicious WebSocket peer can send a small compressed message that expands to a very large Netty buffer and exhausts JVM heap. This issue is fixed in version 3.0.14.

CVE-2026-97717
Medium

CVE-2026-97717 is a vulnerability in the proxy sub-system of Secure Access servers prior to 14.60. Authenticated attackers can send malformed data to the server and cause a persistent denial of service.

CVE-2026-97716
High

CVE-2026-97716 is a vulnerability in the connection set up sub-system of Secure Access servers prior to version 14.60. Unauthenticated attackers can send specially crafted traffic to the server and cause a persistent denial of service.

CVE-2026-97715
High

Vulnerability in the client registration process of Secure Access servers prior to version 14.60. Authenticated attackers can pass malformed data to the server and cause a persistent denial of service.

CVE-2026-97714
High

Vulnerability in the authentication sub-system of Secure Access servers prior to version 14.60. Attackers can send a malformed response during authentication and cause a persistent denial of service.

CVE-2026-34499
High

Use of hard-coded cryptographic key vulnerability in Johnson Controls ADVMS allows reading sensitive constants within an executable. Affects ADVMS before 3.10.

CVE-2026-107354
Unknown

CVE-2026-107353
Medium

traverse (npm) versions 0.3.6 through 0.3.9, 0.4.0 through 0.4.6, 0.5.0 through 0.5.2, and 0.6.0 through 0.6.11 allow prototype pollution through set(). When the path passed to set() crosses a primitive value, the next path segment is resolved on that primitive's built-in prototype, so an application that passes an untrusted path to set() lets an attacker add or overwrite properties of String.prototype, Number.prototype, or Boolean.prototype using plain JSON data. This is fixed in 0.3.10, 0.4.7, 0.5.3, and 0.6.12.

CVE-2026-107176
Medium

A flaw was found in the cluster-samples-operator. The RBAC Role coreos-pull-secret-reader in namespace openshift-config grants get, list, and watch permissions on all Secret resources without resourceNames scoping. The operator only requires access to the pull-secret Secret. If the samples-operator pod or its service account token is compromised through a separate vulnerability, an attacker could read all secrets in openshift-config, potentially including OAuth identity provider credentials, cloud provider credentials, and other sensitive cluster configuration.

CVE-2026-107161
High

Heap-based buffer overflow in Cyrus SASL. The add_to_challenge() function in the DIGEST-MD5 plugin does not recompute buffer size after quoting, leading to out-of-bounds write. A malicious server can crash the client.

CVE-2026-107313
Medium

pgjdbc, the PostgreSQL JDBC Driver, versions 42.7.4 and 42.7.5 can send the previous contents of the GSS send buffer in place of the first part of a value on a connection with GSS encryption (gssEncMode=prefer or require), and the server stores the value without an error. The buffer is 16320 bytes with MIT Kerberos. The stored value then holds bytes of the messages the driver sent just before it on the same connection, such as the statement's SQL text, its other parameters, and earlier rows of the same batch, instead of the bytes the application supplied. Values at least as long as the buffer are affected when the driver writes them from a byte array. Versions 42.7.3 and earlier are not affected, and 42.7.6 fixes the problem.

CVE-2026-107225
Medium

Excelize is a Go language library for reading and writing Microsoft Excel spreadsheets. From 2.8.0 to 2.11.0, GetStyle's fill, border, and font extraction predicates check only upper bounds for attacker-controlled style-table indices. File.GetStyle relies on extractStyleCondFuncs predicates that allow negative FillID, BorderID, and FontID values to reach slice indexing. When a crafted styles.xml supplies a negative fillId, borderId, or fontId and the application reads the style, a negative identifier passes the upper-bound-only predicate and becomes a negative slice index, allowing an attacker to panic while reading cell styling. No fixed version is available as of this review.
