Summary

In the Linux kernel, btintel_pcie_prepare_tx() uses tfd_index to access the TFD and data buffer arrays before the index is advanced modulo txq->count. An index equal to txq->count is one past the end of both arrays, so the fix rejects it in the bounds check.

Risk Assessment

An out-of-bounds access may occur, potentially leading to a crash or possible code execution in kernel context.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix that validates the TX descriptor index bounds in btintel_pcie_prepare_tx().
