CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-99047

Unknown
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In the Linux kernel, the gve driver leaks XSK buffers when stopping queues. GVE does not free XSK buffers attached to buf_state when resetting ring state, causing all buffers posted to the NIC to be leaked.

Risk Assessment

The memory leak can gradually exhaust resources and destabilize the system when queues are repeatedly stopped and started. The issue was hit in production.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix that frees XSK buffers when stopping rings.
