Summary

In the Linux kernel, the iio: light: rohm-bu27034 driver uses an error code to compute the sleep time when reading the integration time fails, which can lead to an infinite delay.

Risk Assessment

A failed read can cause a hang or very long delay in driver operation, affecting device availability. Systems using this sensor are affected.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version with the fix that uses the smallest integration time as a default when the read fails.
