Summary

In the Linux kernel, in KVM: s390, _destroy_pages_crste() reads the crste without protection against multiple pointer dereferences, which can lead to a race.

Risk Assessment

A race when reading the crste can lead to kernel instability and potential crashes on the s390 platform.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix that uses READ_ONCE() to read the crste in _destroy_pages_crste().
