Summary

The Empik for Woocommerce plugin for WordPress in all versions up to and including 1.5.1 is vulnerable to authorization bypass. The plugin does not properly verify that a user is authorized to perform an action, allowing authenticated attackers with subscriber-level access and above to modify arbitrary WooCommerce product metadata, including Empik logistic class, product state, and export/offer flags.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated low-privileged attacker can alter product metadata in the store, potentially causing logistics errors, incorrect offer exports, and sales disruptions. This may result in financial losses and operational issues.

Recommendation

Update the Empik for Woocommerce plugin to a version newer than 1.5.1 as soon as it becomes available. Until a fix is released, consider restricting user roles and monitor product metadata changes.
