CVE-2026-93695

HighCVSS 7.4
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.17%

6th percentile - higher than 6% of all known CVEs

Summary

In Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller v5.12.6 and below, FileCopyService uses a remote file identifier when constructing a local temporary file path without enforcing containment. This can cause FileCopyService to write attacker-controlled content to filesystem locations writable by the service account. This can result in remote code execution when an executable IIS-served directory is writable.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can write malicious files to server directories, potentially leading to remote code execution and full system compromise. The risk is high if IIS-served directories are writable.

Recommendation

Upgrade Progress ShareFile Storage Zones Controller to a version newer than 5.12.6 if available, or restrict write permissions to IIS-served directories. Consider implementing path containment checks in FileCopyService.
