Summary

In the Linux kernel ring-buffer subsystem, when sub-buffers use an order greater than 0, cpu_buffer->free_page is allocated with subbuf_order. The fix ensures the correct order is used for cpu_buffer->free_page.

Risk Assessment

An incorrect order when freeing the page can cause kernel memory corruption or memory leaks, threatening system stability.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix that uses the correct subbuf_order when freeing cpu_buffer->free_page.
