CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-85974

HighCVSS 7.4
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 do not consistently validate TLS certificate hostnames for certain outbound connections. A network-positioned attacker could exploit this weakness to intercept or modify communications with an affected service.

Risk Assessment

Improper hostname validation enables man-in-the-middle attacks, potentially resulting in data interception or injection of modified content. This can compromise the confidentiality and integrity of communications with external services.

Recommendation

Upgrade MarkLogic Server to 12.1.0 or 11.3.7 (or later) to restore proper TLS certificate hostname validation. Review outbound connection configuration and ensure certificate validation is enabled.
