CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-85972

HighCVSS 7.4
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

Progress MarkLogic Server 12.x releases before 12.1.0 and 11.x releases before 11.3.7 do not sufficiently verify the identity of a Kerberos authentication service in certain password-based authentication configurations. A network-positioned attacker could impersonate trusted authentication infrastructure, potentially resulting in unauthorized access or modification of protected data.

Risk Assessment

Impersonation of the Kerberos service may allow an attacker to gain unauthorized access to protected resources or modify data. This poses a serious threat to the confidentiality and integrity of the system.

Recommendation

Upgrade MarkLogic Server to 12.1.0 or 11.3.7 (or later) to ensure proper Kerberos service identity verification. Review password-based authentication configurations and consider additional anti-impersonation safeguards.
