CVE Catalog

CVE-2026-85612

HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

OpenPanel before 2.3.0 contains an unauthenticated server-side request forgery vulnerability in the /misc/favicon and /misc/og endpoints that accept an attacker-supplied url parameter with insufficient validation. Attackers can force the API to fetch arbitrary internal hosts and cloud metadata endpoints, with small responses returned verbatim enabling credential theft and internal service enumeration.

Risk Assessment

The risk includes access to internal network resources, theft of credentials from cloud metadata, and the ability to scan internal infrastructure, potentially leading to privilege escalation and security breaches.

Recommendation

It is recommended to upgrade OpenPanel to version 2.3.0 or later and implement URL validation and outbound traffic filtering to prevent SSRF.
