CVE-2026-73175

HighCVSS 7.1
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

A CWE-400: Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability exists in the OPC UA gateway component of Advantech EKI-1242EIMS in firmware version V1.06.01 that allows an adjacent unauthenticated attacker to exhaust the server session pool and cause a complete denial of service to all legitimate OPC UA clients by opening multiple anonymous sessions.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can exhaust OPC UA server resources, causing complete unavailability of the service for legitimate clients. This may disrupt industrial communication and processes dependent on OPC UA.

Recommendation

Restrict network access to the OPC UA gateway to trusted network segments only and implement session limits and resource exhaustion protections. Upgrade the firmware to a version containing the fix.
