CVE-2026-72508

A vulnerability in the multicloud-operators-subscription component allows a tenant with permissions to create HelmRelease custom resources to bypass security controls. The HelmRelease controller processes chart templates with elevated ServiceAccount privileges without proper validation, enabling deployment of arbitrary resources across the cluster.

A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component. This vulnerability allows a user on a managed cluster to escalate their privileges by creating a Subscription with specific, crafted annotations. Successful exploitation grants the attacker the ability to deploy resources into any namespace with the elevated permissions of the controller's Service Account, potentially leading to unauthorized access and control over cluster resources.

A flaw was found in the multicloud-operators-subscription component of Red Hat Advanced Cluster Management (RHACM). A tenant with HelmRelease create permissions can exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the `secretRef.Namespace` field. This allows the `GetSecret()` function in the HelmRelease controller to fetch sensitive credentials from any namespace, which are then sent to an attacker-controlled Helm repository.

A flaw was found in multicloud-operators-subscription. A privileged user (namespace administrator) can manipulate the Channel.Spec.SecretRef.Namespace field, causing the system to copy sensitive Secret contents from other namespaces into their own, leading to information disclosure.
