CVE-2026-71904
HighCVSS 7.2Exploitation Probability (EPSS)
High risk83th percentile - higher than 83% of all known CVEs
Summary
Multiple DrayTek VigorAP models contain a command injection vulnerability in the tr069TestInform function. The vulnerability is caused by insufficient filtering of dangerous characters before the event_code field is concatenated into a system command. A remote attacker can trigger this vulnerability via crafted input to execute arbitrary commands with root privileges. Exploitation requires valid administrative credentials for the device's web management interface.
Risk Assessment
The risk for the organization includes the possibility of remote code execution with root privileges, which can lead to compromise of the device and network, as well as data interception or attacks on other systems.
Recommendation
It is recommended to immediately update the firmware of DrayTek VigorAP devices to the latest version with fixes. Also restrict access to the management interface and monitor logs for suspicious activities.
