Summary

The VikBooking Hotel Booking Engine & PMS plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'special_requests' parameter in all versions up to and including 1.8.8 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This allows unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts that execute when a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

The risk includes potential session hijacking, redirection to malicious sites, or theft of sensitive data, which could compromise organizational security and reputation.

Recommendation

Immediately update the VikBooking plugin to the latest available version and implement WAF rules to block suspicious 'special_requests' parameters.
