CVE-2026-66089

MediumCVSS 6.1
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In openEQUELLA before 2026.1, the SOAP API parses XML supplied in the stopEdit operation with a parser that resolves external entities. This allows an attacker to read arbitrary files accessible to the openEQUELLA service or cause the server to issue requests to attacker-specified locations (SSRF).

Risk Assessment

An attacker can read sensitive files from the server or use the server for SSRF requests, potentially leading to data leakage and internal network reconnaissance.

Recommendation

Update openEQUELLA to version 2026.1 or later and disable external entity resolution in the SOAP API XML parser.
