Summary

A flaw in the AAP MCP server. An unauthenticated remote attacker can exploit a log injection vulnerability by sending specially crafted input to the toolsetroute parameter. The parameter is not properly sanitized before being written to logs, allowing injection of control characters such as newlines and ANSI escape sequences.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can obscure legitimate log entries and insert forged ones, which could facilitate social engineering attacks, potentially leading an operator to execute dangerous commands or visit malicious URLs.

Recommendation

Update AAP MCP to a version containing the fix or implement validation and sanitization of the toolsetroute parameter before logging. Monitor logs for unusual control characters.
