Exploitation Probability (EPSS)

Low risk
0.17%

5th percentile - higher than 5% of all known CVEs

Summary

The Frontend Admin by DynamiApps plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via kses bypass / mutation XSS in all versions up to and including 3.28.36. This is due to the 'get_dynamic_values' function performing text-level find-and-replace operations on post content without HTML-aware parsing. This allows authenticated attackers with Contributor-level access and above to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

Attackers with contributor privileges can inject malicious scripts that execute in visitors' browsers, leading to data theft, session hijacking, or malware distribution. Even low privileges can be exploited.

Recommendation

Update the Frontend Admin by DynamiApps plugin to the latest version with the fix. Also restrict contributor account privileges and regularly review content for suspicious scripts.
