Summary

9Router through version 0.4.41 contains an unauthenticated information disclosure vulnerability that allows remote attackers to access sensitive user data by sending requests to unprotected API endpoints. Attackers can enumerate paginated request logs and retrieve complete AI conversation histories including system prompts, user messages, assistant responses, tool calls, and user email addresses by querying the request-logs and request-details API routes which lack authentication middleware.

Risk Assessment

The risk for the organization includes leakage of sensitive user data such as AI conversation histories and email addresses, which could lead to privacy breaches, identity theft, or exploitation in social engineering attacks.

Recommendation

It is recommended to immediately upgrade 9Router to a version newer than 0.4.41, or if not available, implement authentication on the request-logs and request-details API routes and restrict access to these endpoints only to authorized users.
