CVE-2026-58147

CriticalCVSS 9.3
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

The WNC T-Mobile 5G Box IDU router contains an OS command injection vulnerability in the portal.cgi component's password change functionality. The application improperly neutralizes special elements in the http_passwd_hidden and http_passwdConfirm_hidden parameters, allowing an authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the underlying operating system with root privileges. The issue is fixed in firmware version 1.1.0.651412.

Risk Assessment

An authenticated attacker can gain full control of the router with root privileges. This may lead to traffic interception, configuration changes, or using the device as an entry point into the network.

Recommendation

Update the WNC T-Mobile 5G Box IDU router firmware to version 1.1.0.651412 or later. Change default administrative passwords and restrict access to the management interface.
