Summary

The KernCoreLib64.sys kernel driver in MSI Feature Manager has a local privilege escalation vulnerability. Any locally logged-on user can perform arbitrary physical memory read/write and unrestricted I/O port operations via exposed IOCTL handlers.

Risk Assessment

Attackers can manipulate kernel objects, bypass Protected Process Light protections, and disable security software, leading to full system compromise.

Recommendation

Immediately update MSI Feature Manager to the latest patched version. Until then, restrict access to the driver by blocking unauthorized IOCTL operations.
