CVE-2026-55494

CriticalCVSS 9.8
Published: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In Tugtainer Agent prior to version 1.30.4, when AGENT_SECRET is not configured, Docker management APIs are accessible without authentication. The signature verification function in agent/auth.py returns success if Config.AGENT_SECRET is empty, making protected APIs accessible without authentication.

Risk Assessment

The risk is unauthorized access to Docker management APIs, potentially leading to takeover of containers and the entire Docker environment.

Recommendation

Upgrade Tugtainer to version 1.30.4 or later. Always configure AGENT_SECRET and ensure it is required.

Original NVD description (English source)

Tugtainer is a self-hosted app for automating updates of Docker containers. Prior to version 1.30.4, Tugtainer Agent allows unauthenticated access to Docker management APIs when AGENT_SECRET is not configured. The Agent uses request signatures to protect its API routes. However, in agent/auth.py, the signature verification function returns successfully if Config.AGENT_SECRET is empty. This causes protected Agent APIs to become accessible without authentication. This issue has been patched in version 1.30.4.
