Summary

The Widgets for Social Photo Feed plugin for WordPress up to version 1.7.9 is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'feed_data' parameter keys. Insufficient input sanitization and output escaping allow unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary scripts that execute when a user accesses an injected page.

Risk Assessment

An attacker can inject malicious scripts to steal admin session data or redirect users to phishing sites, compromising the confidentiality and integrity of the website.

Recommendation

Update the plugin to the latest patched version. If unavailable, temporarily disable the plugin and apply WAF rules to block suspicious parameters.

Original NVD description (English source)

The Widgets for Social Photo Feed plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Stored Cross-Site Scripting via the 'feed_data' parameter keys in all versions up to, and including, 1.7.9 due to insufficient input sanitization and output escaping. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary web scripts in pages that will execute whenever a user accesses an injected page.
