CVE-2026-53625

HighCVSS 7.5
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In GLPI, a technician can manipulate the authtype value through the API to change another user's authentication method. Under configurations using the legacy REST API interface or SSO logins, this can change a super-administrator's authentication method and enable account takeover. The issue is fixed in versions 11.0.8 and 10.0.26.

Risk Assessment

An attacker with technician privileges can take over a super-administrator account, leading to full compromise of the GLPI system. This poses a serious risk to organizations storing inventory data and managing IT.

Recommendation

Update GLPI to version 11.0.8 or 10.0.26. Until patched, consider restricting access to the legacy REST API interface and monitor for unusual authentication method changes.
