CVE-2026-49470

HighCVSS 7.7
Published: Updated: Translated: NVD NIST

Summary

In GLPI, the time-based one-time password verification endpoint does not limit failed submissions per user. An attacker who has obtained a user's primary authentication credentials can repeatedly submit TOTP values against the MFA verification flow, making brute-force compromise of the second factor and subsequent account takeover possible. The issue is fixed in version 11.0.8.

Risk Assessment

The lack of MFA attempt limits enables bypassing the second authentication factor and account takeover even if the attacker only knows the password. This poses a serious threat to privileged accounts.

Recommendation

Update GLPI to version 11.0.8. Until patched, consider implementing external rate limiting or monitoring for multiple failed TOTP verifications.
