Low risk20th percentile - higher than 20% of all known CVEs
Summary
SQLAdmin before version 0.25.1 has a vulnerability in the ajax_lookup endpoint that bypasses the is_accessible() access control check. An authenticated user can query model data through this endpoint even if a developer restricted access by overriding is_accessible().
Risk Assessment
An authenticated user can gain unauthorized access to model data that should be restricted.
Recommendation
Update SQLAdmin to version 0.25.1 or later, which includes a fix enforcing access control on the ajax_lookup endpoint.
Other vulnerabilities in SQLAdmin
Original NVD description (English source)
SQLAdmin is a flexible Admin interface for SQLAlchemy models. Prior to version 0.25.1, the ajax_lookup endpoint in application.py bypasses the is_accessible() access control check that all other endpoints enforce. If a developer restricts model access by overriding is_accessible(), an authenticated user can still query that model's data through the ajax_lookup endpoint — silently bypassing the restriction. This issue has been patched in version 0.25.1.
