Summary

In the Linux kernel, the drm/amd driver was fixed to handle additional cleanup paths that dereferenced a NULL version pointer on unsupported hardware. Appropriate NULL checks were added.

Risk Assessment

On unsupported AMD graphics hardware, a kernel crash (oops/panic) may occur during device cleanup, leading to denial of service.

Recommendation

Update the Linux kernel to a version containing the fix (commit f5a05f8414fc10f307eb965f303580c7778f8dd2 or later).
